Last week at the EU booth during GEO Week in Rome, our CEO Stelios Kotsopoulos presented the TRANSITION project: EO-Informed Agent-Based Models for Digital Twin Applications and Data-Driven Policy Designation.
TRANSITION is built on the premise that today’s global challenges—climate resilience, sustainable land use, renewable energy tradeoffs—demand dynamic tools. Integrating real-time Earth Observation data with agent-based simulations enables policymakers to explore "what-if" scenarios in virtual policy sandboxes. This creates space for experimentation, foresight, and better-informed strategies—without real-world risk.
From simulating the impacts of green credit incentives to optimizing land use between agriculture and renewable energy, TRANSITION helps bridge raw data and real decisions.
